The festivities kick off in downtown St. Augustine on June 28th with a free concert at the Plaza de la Constitución. The All-Star Orchestra will take the stage at 6 p.m., treating audiences to a two-hour performance of big band, swing, and patriotic tunes. The grand finale begins at 9:30 p.m. with a breathtaking fireworks display launching over 5,000 shells from a barge in the Intracoastal Waterway.
Spectators can enjoy prime viewing spots throughout the city, including the Castillo de San Marcos, Matanzas Bay, the Bridge of Lions, and the southern end of Vilano Beach. Parking is readily available downtown, although road closures begin at 8:30 p.m. A complimentary park-and-ride shuttle operates from Anastasia Island between 6 and 11 p.m. Beachgoers can also utilize free shuttles to Mickler’s Landing Beachfront Park in Ponte Vedra Beach and the St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier in St. Augustine Beach from July 1-4.
The Colonial Oak Music Park is hosting its eighth annual Oakfest, a free music festival featuring top local artists. Enjoy family-friendly concerts from July 3-7.
