Flydubai Launches Direct Flights Between Kerman and Dubai, Boosting Tourism

Flydubai, the Emirati government-owned low-cost carrier, is set to launch direct flights between Kerman, Iran, and Dubai, UAE, starting on September 9th. This new route will operate twice a week, with flights scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays, and marks the resumption of international flights to and from Kerman after a decade.

The new route is expected to significantly enhance Kerman’s connectivity, opening up valuable opportunities for local businesses, tourism, and the broader community. It will provide connections to over 150 countries worldwide, offering a boost to the local economy. Officials are coordinating efforts to spread awareness and optimize capacity to ensure the sustainability of these flights, and are optimistic that they will see an increase in frequency to a daily schedule.

Kerman is a culturally rich region of Iran, blending various influences over time. It offers an array of attractions, including historical sites, bazaars, mosques, caravanserais, and the ruins of ancient cities. Situated in a strategically important location, the province borders Fars to the west, Yazd to the north, South Khorasan to the northeast, Sistan-Baluchestan to the east, and Hormozgan to the south. It also encompasses the southern part of Iran’s central desert, the Dasht-e Lut.

The launch of this direct flight route is expected to significantly benefit Kerman’s diverse tourism offerings, including its vibrant bazaars, historic architecture, and unique cultural experiences. It will also facilitate trade and business opportunities for the region’s major state-owned enterprises, automotive industries, and agricultural exports.
