A concerning incident unfolded during Navratri celebrations in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. Around 120 to 125 individuals reported falling ill after consuming buckwheat flour, leading to suspicions of food poisoning. The affected individuals experienced symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea. They were immediately taken to the district hospital for treatment, and samples of the suspected contaminated flour have been sent to a laboratory for analysis.
The district magistrate of Bijnor, Ankit Kumar Agarwal, has assured the public that stringent action will be taken against those responsible for the incident. He emphasized that the district hospital is collaborating with private doctors to ensure prompt and effective treatment for all the affected patients. The authorities are working diligently to bring the situation under control.
