According to Guelph police, a man was arrested after a former co-worker was choked at a business in the city’s west end. On Friday, a female employee was working when a former co-worker entered the establishment and the two got into an argument.
The suspect grabbed the victim’s throat and pushed her against a table, police said. The victim was briefly unable to breathe and reported experiencing throat discomfort, but she did not require medical attention.
Investigators apprehended a 23-year-old Guelph man the following morning. He is accused of assault causing bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in court on May 31.
