Former Home and Away star Orpheus Pledger has escaped police custody after being arrested on assault charges.
Pledger, 30, was being escorted from jail to the Royal Melbourne Hospital on Tuesday for a mental health assessment. However, after waiting to see doctors, he reportedly walked out and has not been seen since, violating his bail conditions.
The ex-actor, who played Mason Morgan on the Australian soap opera for 339 episodes, was taken into custody for allegedly stomping on a woman’s head. The police are actively searching for Pledger.
