A spokesperson for the Biden campaign has denied any partisan motivations behind the decision not to contact Christie, and pointed to the campaign’s outreach efforts to supporters of former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley. However, Christie remains skeptical and believes that the campaign may be concerned about losing support from the far-left flank of the party. Despite his criticisms, Christie maintains that he has not changed his phone number since Biden called him after his election and thanked him for his positive comments on ABC. He believes that Biden has his number and could easily reach out to him if he desired.
