Epic Games Introduces Setting to Hide Confrontational Emotes in Fortnite
Epic Games has added a new setting to Fortnite that allows players to hide certain emotes that have been deemed “overly confrontational.” This move comes in response to feedback from the community that some emotes were being used in a manner that was deemed inappropriate.
The new setting, titled “See Confrontational Emotes,” can be found in the game’s options menu. It is set to “From Friends in Party” by default, meaning that players will only see confrontational emotes from players who are in their party. Players can change this setting to “From Anyone” if they wish to see all emotes, regardless of who is using them.
The following emotes are considered to be confrontational and will be hidden if the “See Confrontational Emotes” setting is set to “From Friends in Party”:
* Take the L
* Crank That
* Laugh It Up
* Point It Out
* Bounce It
* Come at Me Bruh
* Floss
* Hype
* Jubilation
* Wave
These emotes have been around since the early days of Fortnite and have become iconic in the game’s culture. However, some players have found them to be disrespectful or annoying, especially when used in a competitive setting.
The new setting gives players the option to choose whether or not they want to see confrontational emotes. This allows players to customize their experience and create a more enjoyable environment for themselves.
