Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is inviting everyone to come together for the annual Terry Fox Run at Wilket Creek Park in North York, Toronto on Sunday, September 15th, 2024. This inspiring event, now in its 44th year, honors the legacy of Terry Fox and his courageous Marathon of Hope, raising vital funds for cancer research.
As the largest Terry Fox Run site in Canada, Wilket Creek Park will be buzzing with activity as thousands gather to participate in the 2km, 5km, and 10km routes. Whether you choose to run, walk, cycle, or skate, you’ll be joining a sea of supporters dedicated to making a difference in the fight against cancer.
Four Seasons Chairman and Founder Isadore Sharp, along with hundreds of corporate and hotel employees, will be leading the charge, showing their unwavering support for this meaningful cause. Alongside them, you’ll find a vibrant community spirit, with Four Seasons staff and their families volunteering to assist with registration, serve delicious refreshments, and keep the children entertained in the designated children’s area.
The day will kick off with opening ceremonies at 8:20 am, led by the dynamic Canadian media personality Gurdeep Ahluwalia. Get your blood pumping with a pre-race warm-up session led by fitness experts Jamie Bell and Hilary Mallinger, followed by the official race start at 9:05 am EST.
Adding a deeply personal touch to the event, special guest Owen Brady, a Terry Team member and childhood cancer survivor, will be sharing his incredible story of resilience, inspiring everyone with his unwavering spirit. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma at the young age of 15, Owen’s journey embodies the spirit of the Terry Fox Run, showcasing the power of hope and determination.
To further enhance the atmosphere, local band Shoemaker Levee will be providing live entertainment, followed by a moving rendition of the Canadian anthem performed by Toronto-born singer-songwriter Andrea Ramolo.
After the race, indulge in a complimentary BBQ while enjoying the children’s activities and the company of fellow participants. For those driving, convenient parking shuttles will be available throughout the event.
