Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore is set to host Camp B’More, a free week-long summer camp designed for children aged 7-12 who have been affected by cancer. This summer, the hotel will transform into a picturesque glamping site, offering a unique and unforgettable experience for these children.
The camp, running from June 23-28, 2024, aims to restore the joys of childhood for those who have faced the challenges of cancer. Camp B’More will feature themed days inspired by various travel destinations, such as Island Day, Safari Day, and European Adventure Day. Activities will include a pool party, talent shows, campfires, a pizza-making class, a cruise on the hotel’s private catamaran, and a Hollywood-themed prom to conclude the week. Campers will also enjoy excursions to local attractions, including a Baltimore Orioles baseball game, the National Aquarium, and Harbor East Cinemas.
The luxurious private residences and event spaces of Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore will serve as “cabins” for the campers, providing comfortable and beautifully decorated accommodations. The hotel’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of the campers is evident through the partnership with Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center and University of Maryland Pediatric Oncology, both of which are nearby. Camp staff will undergo thorough background checks and training. On-site medical professionals, including physicians, counselors, and nurses, will be available around the clock to administer medications, change dressings, and attend to the campers’ health needs.
Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore has previously hosted a Wellness Day fundraiser for Camp B’More in April 2024, which included fitness classes, food, self-care offerings, gift bags, and more. “Wellness Day was a tremendous success, and now we are looking forward to Camp B’More being a fantastic experience too. We are motivated and excited to deliver endless fun to these incredible children,” affirms Bahram Sepahi, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore.
Camp B’More follows in the footsteps of Camp H-Town at Four Seasons Hotel Houston, which is now in its 6th year. “These camps underscore our company’s commitment to raising awareness and support for cancer research,” states Sepahi. The camp is made possible by the generous support of sponsors including CFG Bank, Stamper Electric, the Children’s Oncology Camping Association (COCA), Care Camps, and the Kay’s Foundation. In the words of the Kay Foundation “until there’s a cure…there’s a camp.”
