Four Seasons to Debut in Madinah, Expanding its Presence in the Middle East

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the global leader in luxury hospitality, has announced plans to debut Four Seasons Hotel Madinah in late 2024, marking the brand’s continued expansion in the Middle East. In partnership with Saudi-based development firm Dar Al Omran Company, the hotel will be situated in the heart of Madinah, steps away from one of the most revered landmarks in the Islamic world, the Prophet’s Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi). “As we continue to grow our portfolio in the Kingdom, we are thrilled to introduce Four Seasons Hotel Madinah to one of Saudi Arabia’s most fascinating markets,” said Bart Carnahan, President, Global Business Development, Portfolio Management and Residential, Four Seasons. “Together with our partners at Dar Al Omran Company, we are dedicated to honoring the historic importance of Madinah and the significance it holds as a highly-revered destination for the Islamic world while welcoming a new generation of visitors to uncover all the city has to offer.” The upcoming Four Seasons Hotel Madinah will boast 246 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites, offering a sanctuary of tranquility amidst the vibrant city. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at the hotel’s diverse dining venues and lounges, while extensive meeting facilities cater to business travelers and special events. A state-of-the-art fitness center and a luxurious spa provide ample opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation. The hotel’s design will seamlessly integrate modern elements with subtle nods to the architectural style of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary luxury. HKS spearheaded the conceptual architectural design, while LW Design Group will oversee the interior design of both guest accommodations and public areas. AvroKO will take charge of crafting the lobby, reception area, and dining establishments, ensuring a cohesive and visually stunning aesthetic throughout the hotel. Leading this exciting new venture is General Manager Waleed Sobhy, a seasoned hotelier with two decades of experience within the Four Seasons family. Sobhy’s journey began as an Outlet Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza, and he has since held various leadership positions, including Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence. Most recently, he played a pivotal role in the transformation of the acclaimed Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh as Resort Manager, overseeing the introduction of new accommodations, event spaces, and dining options. “It is with great pride that I take this next step in my Four Seasons career with a new property that adds to Four Seasons growing, dynamic portfolio in the Middle East,” commented Sobhy on his appointment. “It’s an exciting time as we prepare to open our doors later this year, creating a new luxury experience that deeply honors the importance of Madinah, while introducing the legendary personalized and unscripted service that only Four Seasons can offer.” The upcoming Four Seasons Hotel Madinah will seamlessly integrate with the surrounding urban landscape, offering convenient access to Makkah and Jeddah via a high-speed railway network. Madinah International Airport is just 20 minutes away, providing easy connections for both domestic and international travelers. The addition of Four Seasons Hotel Madinah to the brand’s portfolio in Saudi Arabia complements esteemed properties like the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre, the upcoming Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah, the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jeddah at the Corniche, the Four Seasons Resort Red Sea at Shura Island, the Four Seasons Resort NEOM at Sindalah, and the Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay. Four Seasons Hotel Madinah promises to be a captivating destination for pilgrims, discerning travelers, and residents alike, offering a haven of luxury, comfort, and personalized service in the heart of one of Islam’s holiest cities.
