Four-Year-Old Child Injured in Brandon, Manitoba Collision

Brandon, Manitoba – A four-year-old child was rushed to the hospital on Monday afternoon following a collision with a trailer in Brandon, Manitoba. The incident took place just before 3:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue. According to police, witnesses stated that the child abruptly ran from a parking lot on the north side of Victoria Avenue and into the side of the trailer. The trailer was attached to a half-tonne truck traveling westbound. Emergency responders transported the young victim to the Brandon Regional Health Centre before he was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg via STARS air ambulance. Despite sustaining serious injuries, the child’s condition has been reported as stable.
