The tranquil banks of the Main River in Frankfurt buzzed with the energy and rhythm of dragon boats as 22 teams representing China, Germany, France, Italy, and other nations participated in the inaugural Frankfurt Dragon Boat Festival 2024. Vibrant performances, including martial arts, Peking opera, traditional Chinese Hanfu parades, and dragon and lion dances, added a multicultural flair to the festivities.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Wu Ken emphasized the dragon boat race’s value as a cultural exchange platform between China and Germany. Consul General Huang Yiyang highlighted the significance of hosting the event in Germany, Europe’s leading automotive market, and its potential to enhance the visibility of Chinese brands like HONGQI.
