An intensive search effort is ongoing in Germany to locate Arian Arnold, a six-year-old boy with autism who has been missing since Monday evening. Arian’s worried parents notified the police within minutes of realizing his absence after he was playing outside in their garden.
The search party has grown to over 600 people, including emergency service workers, army personnel, and volunteers from the local community. Specialized equipment, such as a Tornado jet, sniffer dogs, drones, and a sonar boat, are being utilized to scour the area around Arian’s home in Elm, southern Saxony.
The search is particularly challenging due to Arian’s non-verbal nature, which means he cannot respond to calls or cries for help. The search party has meticulously combed through rapeseed fields, nearby ponds, and neighboring gardens, but no trace of Arian has been found.
Despite the extensive efforts, police have not yet identified any clues regarding Arian’s whereabouts. As temperatures drop and night falls, concerns grow for the boy’s well-being. Riot police forces have been called in to assist in the search, and the community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or sightings.
Arian was last seen around 7:30 pm on Monday, wearing only dragon-patterned sweatpants, a jumper, and socks. He had recently learned to open locked doors, but it remains unclear how he managed to vanish so quickly. His distraught father alerted the police just minutes after his disappearance.
The authorities emphasize the importance of checking outbuildings and private CCTV footage, as Arian may have sought shelter in a shed or similar hiding place. The search continues with unwavering determination, and the community remains hopeful for a swift and positive resolution.
