Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Unveils New Shorter Cruises on Bolette’s Inaugural World Voyage

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is introducing three new shorter cruise options aboard the Bolette as part of her inaugural 106-night world voyage commencing in January 2025. Departing from Southampton on January 6th, guests can embark on a 56-night ‘Exploring South America and the Pacific Islands’ cruise. This journey promises stunning panoramas of Chile’s diverse landscapes, rich cultural encounters, and wildlife sightings, including the iconic Moai statues on Easter Island. Discover hidden treasures like Robinson Crusoe Island along the way.

On March 3rd, Bolette sets sail from Sydney for a 29-night ‘Australian and South African Discovery’ cruise. Guests will have opportunities to marvel at Australia’s natural wonders such as the Opera House, Uluru, and the Great Barrier Reef. The voyage continues to Reunion Island, exploring its changing landscapes, before venturing to South Africa to seek out the Big Five.

Alternatively, departing from Cape Town on April 1st, the 21-night ‘Scenic Vistas and Diverse Cultures of Africa’ cruise invites guests to explore the vast Namib Desert, immerse in Senegalese folklore and tribal traditions, and experience the remote subtropical beauty of Jamestown, St Helena.

Martin Lister, Head of Itinerary Product Development at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, stated: “Our 2025 World Cruise has already proven popular, and there are some incredible opportunities to be had as Bolette sails to gems across the globe. “These shorter sailings will enable even more of our guests to share these experiences, with every port offering an incredible insight into culture, history, art or the chance to seek out native wildlife such as the Magellanic Penguins in Chile, quokkas in Australia and the Big Five in South Africa. “Guests will be able to make the most of their time with us, whether it’s to explore ports of call further with our immersive shore tours or to relax on board as our smaller-sized ship enjoys scenic sailings between destinations.”

The voyage to Sydney features a hotel stay post-cruise before returning to London Heathrow, while the journey from Sydney to South Africa offers a hotel stay before the cruise begins. You can also choose to embark or disembark in Liverpool for an additional £200 per person.
