Fresno Woman Pleads Not Guilty to Bar Shooting Murder

Domonique Jones, a 26-year-old woman, made her first court appearance on Wednesday morning in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Fresno bar on April 14. She pleaded not guilty to the murder charges stemming from the incident. According to police, an argument erupted outside Ewell’s Place at the intersection of Shaw and Marks. Gilberto Gutierrez, 38, attempted to intervene and de-escalate the situation, but police allege that Jones shot and killed him. Jones remains in custody with her bail set at $1.5 million. Another individual charged in the shooting, Isaiah Clayton, also pleaded not guilty to firearm charges. Both Jones and Clayton are scheduled to appear in court again on May 1.
