Frontier Airlines, a budget-conscious airline, has reestablished its codeshare partnership with Volaris, a Mexico City-based low-cost carrier. As of today, Frontier’s passengers can book flights between the U.S. and Mexico for departures starting May 16, 2024. Volaris boasts a robust network across Mexico, the United States, and parts of Central and South America, serving popular destinations such as Mexico City, Cancún, Los Cabos, and Guadalajara. Beginning May 8th, travelers can make codeshare bookings via Frontier’s website, FlyFrontier.com, with mobile app bookings available from May 9th. Customers have the flexibility to choose direct Volaris flights or combined Frontier/Volaris itineraries based on route availability.
Barry Biffle, CEO of Frontier Airlines, expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership: “We are thrilled to resume codesharing with Volaris, which will provide Frontier customers the ability to easily and conveniently book travel to a vast array of exciting destinations in Mexico. This partnership aligns with Volaris’ strategy to expand its reach, currently offering over 460 daily flights connecting 44 cities within Mexico and 29 cities across the United States, Central America, and South America.
