Frontier Airlines, a prominent ultra-low-cost carrier in the United States, is set to expand its network significantly this fall. The airline plans to introduce 11 new routes connecting 15 airports with services launching throughout October and November. Key cities benefiting from these new routes include Atlanta, Austin, and Hollywood.
Starting October 12th, Frontier will launch a new route from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to Sarasota, marking its 20th service at this location. This new route coincides with Frontier’s recent announcement of establishing a crew base at CVG. Introductory fares for this route will start at just $29, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) will also experience growth with Frontier’s expansion. Three new routes will be introduced, beginning with thrice-weekly service to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) starting October 11th. In November, Frontier will launch two additional routes connecting Atlanta to major United Airlines hubs: Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Dulles International Airport (IAD). These routes will offer daily flights with fares starting at a competitive $19 one-way, positioning Frontier in direct competition with established carriers like United Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
Frontier’s return to Dulles International Airport marks a significant move, as the airline hasn’t operated from this airport since 2021. While Frontier has maintained its presence at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), this new initiative reestablishes its footprint at Dulles. Starting November 14th, Frontier will offer daily service from Dulles to Atlanta, along with four-times-weekly service to Orlando International Airport (MCO).
These expansions highlight Frontier Airlines’ commitment to expanding its reach and providing cost-effective travel options across the United States. With affordable fares and new routes, the airline aims to cater to the growing demand for budget-friendly travel options this fall.
