FuboTV Inc. (FUBO) is making waves in the streaming world with the expansion of its Multiview feature to select Roku, Inc. (ROKU) devices. This beta launch, set to roll out to more Roku devices in the coming weeks, marks a significant step for Fubo, making it the first virtual MVPD (vMVPD) to offer customizable multiviewing on Roku.
With its daily influx of over 150,000 new content assets, including live and on-demand sports, news, and entertainment, Fubo is committed to providing a comprehensive viewing experience. “Multiview has been one of our most loved features and we’re thrilled to expand it to Roku users,” said Isaac Josephson, senior vice president, product management, Fubo.
Fubo’s Multiview feature allows users to create a personalized viewing experience by choosing up to four live channels to watch simultaneously. This flexibility is especially advantageous for sports and news enthusiasts, offering a unique advantage over similar features offered by other streaming platforms. “With Multiview and a suite of product features that enable content discovery and personalization, Fubo’s goal is to ensure fans never miss a moment of their favorite content,” Josephson added.
Fubo pioneered multiviewing on Apple TV in 2020, setting the standard for personalized streaming experiences. This latest expansion to Roku devices demonstrates Fubo’s commitment to offering a tailored viewing experience, allowing users to curate their content based on their preferences.
Fubo’s focus on personalized viewing comes at a time when the company is facing market challenges. FUBO stock has experienced a decline of over 40% in the past year. Despite these market fluctuations, investors can still gain exposure to Fubo through ProShares Trust ProShares Metaverse ETF VERS.
While Fubo’s stock is currently trading lower, the company’s innovative Multiview feature could be a key factor in attracting and retaining subscribers, particularly those who are passionate about live content. This expansion is a significant step forward for Fubo, and its impact on the company’s future success remains to be seen.
