Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration in Kolkata Merges Tradition with Adiyogi’s Wisdom

The Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at the Executive Palace Complex on VIP Road, Baguiati, Kolkata, reached new heights this year with a striking 13-foot replica of Adiyogi. This grand installation, standing as the centerpiece of the festivities, seamlessly blended the reverence for Lord Ganesha with the profound teachings associated with Adiyogi, Lord Shiva.

The inclusion of Adiyogi in the celebration offered a unique dimension, symbolizing a deeper philosophical connection. Lord Shiva, often hailed as Adiyogi, represents supreme wisdom and consciousness, while his son, Ganesha, embodies the removal of obstacles and new beginnings. The father-son bond between them carries rich symbolism, merging cosmic wisdom with practical guidance. Their presence at the celebration not only honored religious devotion but also encouraged reflection on the spiritual teachings behind both deities. By integrating these profound elements, the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration offered a deeper, more meaningful experience for devotees.

Mr. Ankit Agarwal, Secretary of the Executive Palace Complex, spoke about the significance of the celebration, stating, “Our celebration this year is dedicated to the profound teachings of Adiyogi, honoring the divine bond between Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha. We are organizing Ganesh Chaturthi over six days, culminating in a grand Hawan before the Visarjan, where all residents will participate and will also distribute bhog during Ganesh puja to more than 3,000 people outside our complex premises.”

Residents and visitors are warmly invited to partake in this unique and grand celebration, offering an enriching spiritual experience and deep cultural significance. This highly anticipated festival will run from September 7th to September 12th, promising an engaging blend of tradition and festivities for all attendees.
