Gary Goodman Re-Signs with Lionsgate Television as EVP of Worldwide Production

Gary Goodman, a seasoned veteran in the television industry, has signed a new multi-year agreement with Lionsgate Television, solidifying his position as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Production. Goodman’s 17-year tenure at Lionsgate has been marked by exceptional leadership and oversight of numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful shows. With his expertise and guidance, Lionsgate Television has produced a remarkable slate of premium scripted series, including the iconic “Mad Men,” the groundbreaking “Orange is the New Black,” and the beloved “Nashville.”

Goodman’s responsibilities encompass the production of Lionsgate’s highly anticipated series and the management of the company’s East Coast television production facilities in Yonkers, New York, Atlanta, Georgia, and the soon-to-open Newark, New Jersey location. He has played a pivotal role in expanding Lionsgate’s production footprint, enabling the company to meet the growing demand for premium content.

Goodman’s current projects include a diverse array of captivating series. For Starz, he is overseeing the production of “BMF,” “P-Valley,” and “The Serpent Queen.” Apple TV+ viewers can look forward to his involvement in “Mythic Quest,” “Acapulco,” and “Manhunt.” Additionally, Goodman will be at the helm of the highly anticipated prequel to the “John Wick” franchise, “The Continental,” which will premiere on Peacock and Amazon Prime.

His upcoming slate also includes the Jon Cryer-led comedy “Extended Family” for Peacock, the Seth Rogen-produced half-hour comedy “The Studio” for Apple TV+, and the thrilling “The Hunting Wives.” Goodman will also oversee the re-imagining of the classic hit series “Spartacus” for Starz. Amazon MGM Studios recently gave the green light to the comedy series “Dinks” from Marta Kauffman, which Goodman will produce.
