General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a subsidiary of General Dynamics, has been awarded a significant $299 million contract to further strengthen the Pentagon’s network infrastructure. The contract, awarded by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) through the Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management-Next Generation (JSP ETM-NG) program, encompasses a one-year base period and the option for two six-month extensions.
Under the terms of this contract, GDIT will continue its critical role in operating and maintaining the Pentagon and National Capitol Region’s network infrastructure, which serves a vast user base of over 55,000 personnel. GDIT will also prioritize optimizing the IT environment to enhance the network’s speed, security, and overall reliability.
This contract signifies a continued commitment to bolstering the Pentagon’s technological capabilities. Brian Sheridan, GDIT’s senior vice president for Defense, emphasized the importance of the project, stating, “Enhancing the Pentagon’s network infrastructure will further advance technological superiority for our warfighters.”
