Gerwyn Price, the Welshman who won the 2021 World Championship, was unable to compete in last weekend’s Austrian Darts Open due to a trapped nerve in his back. The 39-year-old has undergone treatment since then, but he has not recovered enough to travel to Scotland for Night 14. As a result, Price will remain in seventh place, and his hopes of reaching the Play-Offs have suffered a setback. Under the tournament’s regulations, Luke Humphries, who was scheduled to face Price in the quarter-finals in Aberdeen, will now receive a bye into the semi-finals. He will also receive two league points and a +1 leg difference. Price, on the other hand, will receive a -6 leg difference on the league table. Humphries will play the winner of the semi-final match between Michael van Gerwen and Rob Cross.
