Despite being forced to miss Game 1 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers due to a lingering calf injury, the Milwaukee Bucks still hold out hope that Giannis Antetokounmpo will be able to return for Game 2 on Tuesday night.
Antetokounmpo was initially listed as doubtful for Game 1 with a left soleus strain, and while his status has not changed heading into Game 2, the fact that he has not been ruled out entirely is a positive sign.
If Antetokounmpo is unable to play on Tuesday, Damian Lillard will once again be counted on to lead the charge for the Bucks. Lillard had no problem leading the way for a shorthanded Milwaukee side in Sunday’s 109-94 blowout win against the Pacers, and he might need to do it again in Game 2.
Either way, it is clear that Antetokounmpo and the Bucks are doing everything in their power to get the former back-to-back MVP back to full strength as soon as possible.
