Girl Trapped Under Rocks on Beach Rescued in Major Operation

A major rescue operation was launched on Sunday afternoon after a young girl became trapped under massive rocks on a beach in Gwynedd, Wales. The incident occurred on Tywyn beach, where the girl had become stuck amongst stone ‘armour’ as the tide began to come in. Dozens of rescuers from various emergency services, including the Aberdovy Coastguard Rescue Team, Barmouth Coastguard Rescue, Tywyn Fire Station, North Wales Police, Welsh Ambulance Service, Gwynedd Maritime Service, and Wales Air Ambulance, responded to the scene. Due to the weight and instability of the rocks, contractors were brought in with lifting machinery to assist in the rescue effort. After a coordinated three-hour operation, the girl was successfully freed from her predicament. Her parents, who had been witnessing the ordeal in fear, expressed immense gratitude to the emergency services for their dedication and expertise. The incident highlights the importance of beach safety and the need for caution when engaging in activities near rocks or cliffs.
