Global Village Extends Season, Offering Extra Week of Family Fun

Global Village, a renowned family attraction in the United Arab Emirates, recently announced an extension of its current season until May 5, providing tourists and residents additional opportunities to visit.

Initially set to close on April 28, the extension comes as a response to recent weather disruptions that led to the cancellation of several major events, including a concert by Swedish pop star Zara Larsson.

Despite the cancellation of Larsson’s performance, Global Village has scheduled new attractions to captivate visitors in the final week.

Among these are social media talks featuring prominent Arab influencers such as Ghaith Marwan and Sara Alwa, with a special meet-and-greet session planned for May 1. The season will conclude with an electrifying performance by DJ Dany Neville on the main stage on May 5.

Apart from these headline events, the theme park continues to offer a daily roster of cultural shows across its various country pavilions, ranging from India to Lebanon.

Regular performances include acts by America’s Got Talent contestants Urban Crew, and the comedic group Clowns to the Rescue, ensuring ongoing entertainment for all visitors.

Global Village is celebrated for its wide array of attractions suitable for family members of all ages.

The park features over 195 rides and games at its carnival, including the House of Fear for horror enthusiasts and a shooting zone for marksmen. The newly introduced Mini World offers a picturesque setting with miniature global landmarks, perfect for capturing memorable photos. Additionally, thrill-seekers can enjoy activities in the Neon Galaxy Challenge Zone, which includes wall climbing and obstacle courses.

Another highlight of this season is the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! “Odditorium,” which showcases an array of wacky exhibitions, optical illusions, and interactive zones.

This venue provides educational entertainment with features like a mirror maze, a 4D moving theater, and immersive virtual reality adventures, continually updated with new exhibits to keep the experience fresh for repeat visitors.

Global Village also caters to food enthusiasts and shoppers, with nearly 300 food outlets offering a variety of international cuisines and desserts.

The Floating Market and Railway Market are popular for their Asian delicacies, while the park’s numerous pavilions offer unique shopping experiences, from Moroccan carpets to Indian spices.

The extension of Global Village’s season and its diverse offerings not only enhance the visitor experience but also significantly contribute to Dubai’s status as a leading global travel and tourism destination.

By providing a mix of cultural, entertainment, and culinary attractions, Global Village continues to attract a wide range of international visitors, thereby bolstering the local tourism industry and economy.
