Delhi Police have apprehended Deepak, a decorated kickboxer and former Indian Army athlete, in connection with a shooting incident that took place at a high-end luxury car showroom in Naraina last month. This arrest comes after another suspect, Armaan, was fatally wounded in an encounter with police. Armaan, according to reports, was the primary shooter in the incident, acting under the instructions of Himanshu Bhau, a US-based gangster.
Deepak’s achievements in kickboxing include multiple international junior championships and a secured position in the Indian Army through a sports quota. However, he later resigned from the Army. He currently operates a kickboxing coaching center in Rohtak, Haryana, and is a certified Wushu coach.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amit Goel revealed that Deepak, despite his athletic accomplishments, had chosen to abandon his career with the Indian Army. This incident underscores the potential for individuals with a strong athletic background to be drawn into criminal activity. The investigation into the shooting continues as Delhi Police work to unravel the full extent of the conspiracy and bring all involved parties to justice.
