In this new role, Arevalo will oversee two newly established divisions: the Global DMC Network and Hospitality Partnerships. This strategic appointment marks a significant transition for Arevalo, who previously served as a non-executive board member of GoNexus Group since 2023.
Javier Arevalo brings a wealth of experience to this leadership position, boasting over three decades of executive expertise in the travel technology and hospitality sectors. Before joining GoNexus Group, Arevalo held prominent positions at HBX Group (formerly Hotelbeds) for over two decades. Notably, he served as Managing Director for the Americas and Executive Vice President and Global Managing Director of Beyond The Bed (BTB), HBX Group’s division dedicated to experiences and mobility. Under his leadership, BTB emerged as a frontrunner in the experiences and mobility market, offering tours, activities, and transportation solutions through esteemed brands such as Hotelbeds, Bedsonline, Carnect, and Holiday Taxis.
Beyond his executive roles, Javier has also served as a board advisor, executive coach, and business mentor within the travel and technology industries, solidifying his reputation as a visionary leader and strategic thinker.
As Managing Director, Javier Arevalo will spearhead the development of the Global DMC Network and Hospitality Partnerships divisions, details of which will be unveiled soon. These new divisions underscore GoNexus Group’s dedication to broadening its service offerings and strengthening international collaborations within the travel industry. The Global DMC Network will focus on optimizing destination management services, while Hospitality Partnerships will aim to build and maintain strategic relationships with key hospitality providers worldwide.
