Good Life Senior Living Resident’s Death Ruled a Homicide

Good Life Senior Living in Hugo has been the site of a tragic incident that resulted in the death of a 75-year-old resident. Linda S. Steen was involved in an altercation on March 11, where she was pushed out of a doorway, leading to a broken hip. Unfortunately, her condition worsened, and she passed away on March 30 after receiving hospice care. An investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Attorney’s Office revealed surveillance footage of the incident, prompting the Ramsey County Medical Examiner to rule the death a homicide. Authorities emphasize that the case is still under investigation, and no charges or arrests have been made.

Steen’s life was marked by her dedication to helping others as a social worker in Ramsey County. Her kindness and unwavering compassion left a positive impact on countless individuals. Sadly, the incident at Good Life Senior Living cut short her life, but her legacy of kindness will continue to be remembered. A memorial service was held on April 18 to commemorate her life and the lasting memories she left with her loved ones.
