Google Doodle Honors Men’s Rings Final at Paris Olympics 2024

Google’s latest Doodle celebrates the Men’s Rings final at the Paris Olympics 2024. The animated doodle features a bird that gets stuck in the rings while trying to show off its skills, a humorous twist on the athletes’ upcoming performance. The event is set to take place at 18:30pm today at the Bercy Arena in Paris. Alongside the doodle, Google shared a message: “Who needs wings, when you have rings,” a fitting tagline for the event.

The 33rd Summer Olympics is in full swing, and August 4th marks the ninth day of the Paris Olympics 2024. According to the Olympics news site, a total of 20 gold medal events are scheduled for today. The day includes final rounds for events like Men’s Athletics 100m, Men’s golf, and Men’s Singles in tennis. We’ll also see a new men’s singles Olympic champion crowned in table tennis at 2:30 pm, with either Fan Zhendong or Truls Möregårdh vying for the gold.

Meanwhile, India’s Manu Bhaker narrowly missed securing her third medal at the Paris Olympics, finishing fourth in the 25m pistol event with 28 points. She lost the bronze to Veronika Major, Hungary’s star shooter. Jiin Yang of South Korea claimed the gold medal, while Camille Jedrzejewski of France took silver. Yang and Jedrzejewski tied on 37 points, forcing a shoot-off where the Korean shooter emerged victorious 4-1 at the Chateauroux Shooting Centre. Bhaker previously won two medals at the Games: one in the women’s individual 10m air pistol event and another alongside Sarabjot Singh in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.
