Governor Polis to Visit Costa Rica for 2024

Governor Jared Polis’s journey to Costa Rica for the 2024 gathering will commence this week. In his absence, Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera will serve as the acting governor. The governor’s agenda includes promoting Colorado’s agricultural sector, geothermal energy production, and small businesses. According to the governor’s office, Colorado and Costa Rica engaged in trade worth approximately $58 million last year.

Governor Polis expressed his enthusiasm for showcasing Colorado’s strengths and learning from Costa Rican counterparts. He emphasized that Costa Rica’s success in utilizing renewable energy sources holds valuable lessons for Colorado’s pursuit of cost-effective and reliable renewable energy options.

Prior to Polis’s departure, Lt. Gov. Primavera signed several health-related bills into law during a ceremony held early Monday afternoon.
