Greggs, the popular bakery chain, has recently announced the addition of eight new branches to its portfolio. These new locations will spread across various cities in the UK, including Cambridge, London, Wales, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Saffron Walden, Bangor, Glasgow, and Porth. The exact opening dates for these branches are yet to be revealed, but the chain has indicated that hundreds more openings will follow in the future. In the first 19 weeks of 2024, Greggs opened 64 shops and closed 37, resulting in a net opening of 27. The expansion is a welcome boost for fans of Greggs’ trademark bakes, and it comes just in time for customers to enjoy the new summer drinks range, which includes fruit coolers and iced lattes in a variety of flavors. Additionally, seasonal foods have been added to the menu, such as chicken pesto flatbread, spicy Mexican bean flatbread, a vegetable bake, and cherry bakewell muffin.
