Verdell Ekberg, a seasoned hospitality professional with over three decades of experience, has been appointed as the new director of sales & marketing at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa. Ekberg’s extensive expertise in the industry, particularly in the luxury lifestyle segment and independent resort experience, makes him ideally suited for this role.

Throughout his illustrious career, Ekberg has held leadership positions in sales and marketing at both independent and branded hotels across the country. His proven ability to drive revenue growth and enhance brand awareness within the travel market makes him a valuable asset to the Hammock Beach team.

In his previous position as Director of Sales & Marketing at South Seas Resort, Ekberg successfully managed sales, catering, and revenue optimization for the sprawling 330-acre, 424-room resort in Southwest Florida. He brings a comprehensive understanding of revenue management, operations, sales and marketing, and employee development to his new role at Hammock Beach.
