Hanuman Jayanti: Delhi Traffic Police Issue Advisories for Celebrations, Implement Route Diversions

The Delhi traffic police have issued route diversion advisories for Hanuman temples in Kashmere Gate and Connaught Place due to Hanuman Jayanti celebrations on Tuesday.

Kashmere Gate Hanuman Temple:


– The ‘Sunderkand Paath’ organized by the Marghat Wale Baba Hanuman Mandir Samiti is expected to attract thousands of devotees from 5 pm.
– Traffic diversions will be implemented at Y-Point Salimgarh by-pass, under Hanuman Setu, and Chatta Rail Chowk.
– Commuters are advised to use public transport and avoid parking vehicles on roadsides.

Connaught Place Hanuman Temple:


– The Hanuman Mandir on Baba Kharak Singh Marg is expected to attract 50,000-60,000 devotees throughout the day.
– A shobha yatra with around 1,000-1,500 participants and seven chariots will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm, affecting traffic on nearby roads.
– No vehicles will be allowed to halt or park on Baba Kharak Singh Marg and Outer Circle, Connaught Place.
– Traffic will be diverted from Outer Circle, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, roundabout GPO, roundabout Patel Chowk, and roundabout Windsor Place.

To further ensure safety, Delhi Police have increased security measures and deployed paramilitary forces in Jahangirpuri and other areas where shobha yatras will be conducted during Hanuman Jayanti.
