This summer, Harry Potter New York is casting spells with its latest attraction. Starting today, the shop introduces an enthralling green screen broomstick flight experience, designed to transport fans directly into the magical realms of the wizarding world. Visitors can capture themselves soaring above iconic scenes similar to those seen in the films, such as the flying car and Hogwarts, exclusively available at Harry Potter New York.
In preparation for their aerial adventures, attendees received a special broomstick tutorial from the beloved Gryffindor hero, Matthew Lewis, famed for his role as Neville Longbottom. The magic extends beyond the flight experience. The store is also showcasing a range of newly arrived movie props, featuring items such as the Sorcerer’s Stone, the Time-Turner Necklace, the Nimbus 2001 broomstick, and wands owned by notable characters including Bellatrix Lestrange and Severus Snape.
Joel Gonzalez, Director of Harry Potter New York, remarked, “With the onset of a new season and the recent celebration of our third anniversary, we’re excited to offer fans fresh ways to immerse themselves in the wizarding world. From unique broomstick photo sessions mimicking movie scenes to a treasure trove of genuine props and exclusive store promotions, there’s a magical experience awaiting every visitor.”
Guests can feel the rush of flying alongside the Knight Bus or diving after the Golden Snitch during a thrilling Quidditch chase. A selection of photo and video packages are available for purchase, allowing visitors to take home a unique memento of their magical flight.
From June 20 to June 23, the store will host free 30-minute tours, highlighting the iconic props, every hour from 9 AM to 6 PM, starting at the Butterbeer Bar. Space is limited to 10 participants per tour on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, Harry Potter New York is offering a special Quidditch-inspired cupcake for a limited time at the Butterbeer Bar, alongside a complimentary personalization service for any item purchased between June 20 and June 23.
