Hassan Merchant Appointed Marketing Manager for Arabian Travel Market, Driving Global Growth

RX, the organization behind the prestigious Arabian Travel Market (ATM), has announced the appointment of Hassan Merchant as the new Marketing Manager. This strategic move comes as ATM looks to further solidify its position as a leading international travel trade show, building upon the record-breaking attendance of 47,000 attendees it achieved last year.

Reporting directly to Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME for Arabian Travel Market, Merchant will take the helm of developing and executing the comprehensive marketing strategy for ATM. His expertise in marketing and event management will be crucial in propelling the Dubai-based event to new heights.

Merchant brings a wealth of experience to this new role. Originally from India, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ness Wadia College of Commerce in Pune. After graduating, Merchant embarked on a successful career in events, ultimately relocating to Dubai in 2014. In Dubai, he honed his skills in marketing and event management, working at Messe Frankfurt Middle East and later at the Landmark Group.

In 2020, Merchant joined RX, bringing his expertise to the ATM team as a Senior Marketing Executive. His recent role as Marketing Manager for the World Future Energy Summit further solidified his credentials in the field.

As the new Marketing Manager, Merchant will oversee the execution of ATM’s marketing strategy across a variety of channels, including digital platforms, public relations initiatives, and comprehensive event management. He will also play a crucial role in managing exhibitor marketing initiatives, ensuring that exhibitors are able to connect with key decision-makers. Merchant will work closely with various stakeholders, including government bodies and industry associations, to ensure that ATM continues to provide valuable insights to the global travel and tourism sector.

The overarching strategy for ATM, under Merchant’s leadership, is to attract high-value visitors, enable exhibitors to make crucial connections, and further cement the event’s influence within the global travel and tourism landscape. This appointment signals a commitment to continued growth and expansion, solidifying ATM’s reputation as a vital hub for the industry.
