Hawaiian Airlines is making waves in the airline industry by offering passengers a game-changing travel perk: free high-speed Wi-Fi powered by Starlink on all of its Airbus flights. This innovative move expands on their initial February launch, where they became the first major U.S. airline to integrate Starlink on their Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Now, travelers on any Hawaiian Airlines Airbus flight, whether it’s between the islands, to the mainland U.S., Asia, or Oceania, can enjoy complimentary high-speed internet access throughout their journey. This means staying connected, catching up on work, streaming movies, and even playing online games, all from the comfort of their seats.
The airline has completed the installation of Starlink across its fleet of 24 A330 aircraft, ensuring a consistent, high-quality in-flight experience. Passengers can simply connect to Starlink just as they would connect to their home Wi-Fi, experiencing speeds that rival ground-based internet connections.
Hawaiian Airlines chose Starlink’s low-Earth orbit satellite network, equipped with an advanced laser mesh system, for its ability to deliver uninterrupted, high-speed connectivity even in remote regions of the Pacific Ocean. This ensures passengers can rely on a seamless online experience regardless of their destination.
Looking ahead, Hawaiian Airlines has ambitious plans to further expand the availability of Starlink by installing it on its flagship Boeing 787-9 aircraft. However, the airline has no plans to offer Starlink on its Boeing 717 aircraft, which operate short inter-island flights.
With the introduction of Starlink, Hawaiian Airlines continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the passenger experience, ensuring travelers can stay connected and enjoy a more enjoyable flight, no matter how far their journey takes them across the Pacific or beyond.
