Hayley Williams Hails Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ as a Favorite

Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, has taken to Instagram Stories to express her adoration for Taylor Swift’s latest album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’ Williams, who has been a close friend of Swift’s for many years, named the project as one of her favorites in honor of Record Store Day.

‘Had me from the storytelling alone, my friend,’ Williams wrote alongside the cover art. ‘Every one of us knows this kind of grief! It’s so impressive to me how specific and colorful Taylor’s words get without ever losing the universal thread.’

Williams also expressed her excitement about joining Swift on her upcoming Eras Tour as an opening act. ‘I’m so ready to be tour-mates,’ she wrote. Paramore will embark on the international leg of the tour, which resumes on May 9 in Paris, France.

The collaboration between Swift and Williams is a testament to their long-standing friendship. They first met as teenagers in Nashville and have worked together on several projects, including Swift’s ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’ re-release, which featured their duet ‘Castles Crumbling.’
