Heartfelt ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ 2.0 from ‘Srikanth’ Revives Golden Retro Era

The second song from Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Srikanth’, titled ‘Papa Kehte Hain’, has finally arrived. The track is a refreshing take on ‘Papa Kahte Hain’ from Aamir Khan’s 1988 film, ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. The music was launched by Aamir Khan himself with the team at a grand event in Mumbai.

‘Papa Kahte Hain’ from ‘Srikanth’ is a fresh take on the 1988 superhit song of the same name. The song will remind you of simpler times and the return of the golden retro era. The video is as heartfelt as the music, with Jyothika clapping for her son and Rajkummar’s character spending some cute moments with Alaya F.

The song launch witnessed a spectacular show by a visually impaired band that performed the track along with other songs including ‘Ae Mere Humsafar’. Aamir Khan, Rajkummar Rao, and Udit Narayan joined the live chorus while creating a truly heartwarming moment.

‘Papa Kehte Hai’ 2.0 is sung by Udit Narayan, music has been recreated by Aditya Dev, while the original music is given by Anand Milind. The lyrics of the song are written by Majrooh Sultanpuri. The song is a recreated version of the old track with visuals of Rajkummar Rao playing Srikanth and Jyothika in the role of his mother.

The trailer of the upcoming film was launched a couple of days back. Sharing the trailer of ‘Srikanth’, Rajkummar wrote, “Trailer Out Now. Embark on a journey where every moment becomes extraordinary through Srikanth’s vision! #Srikanth releases in cinemas on 10th May 2024 (sic).”

‘Srikanth’ is a biographical drama that chronicles the inspiring journey of Srikanth Bolla, a resilient individual who overcame significant challenges due to visual impairment to attain remarkable success. The film is set to hit theatres on May 10, 2024.
