The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in several states across India on Wednesday. Mumbai and Delhi have been placed on yellow alert due to anticipated heavy downpours.
The IMD’s latest weather bulletin states that heavy to very heavy rainfall, with extremely heavy falls (≥ 20 cm) is very likely at isolated places over Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat. Heavy to very heavy rainfall (≥ 12 cm) is also expected at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.
