Heroic Rescue in Noida: Man Pulled Back From High-Rise Building, Multiple Fall Deaths in Separate Incidents

A dramatic rescue unfolded in Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Monday, showcasing the bravery of two men who saved a mentally challenged man from a perilous attempt to jump from a high-rise building. The incident, captured in a viral video, showed the man precariously dangling from the balcony of a high-rise building at the Supertech Capetown residential society in Sector 74. A concerned resident, witnessing the man clinging to the balcony of the common stairs, raised an alarm, prompting others to rush to the scene.

The man’s entire body was hanging outside the balcony, his hands gripping the edge of the concrete railings. With quick thinking and courage, two men from lower floors sprang into action, reaching out to grab him and pull him back to safety. Reports suggest that the man, facing a mental health crisis, had been attempting to end his life.

Unfortunately, the day was also marked by tragedy as six people, including a young child, lost their lives after falling from residential buildings in separate incidents. In the first incident, a 24-year-old man named Nitish Kumar tragically fell from the 24th floor of a building in the Amrapali Platinum Society in Sector 119. According to police, Kumar, originally from Bihar, had been working on a flat on the 18th floor. After completing his work, he went to the 24th floor, and for reasons still under investigation, fell.

In another heart-wrenching incident, a 10-year-old boy named Armaan Baluja, a student of Class 5, fell from the 13th floor of a residential society in Sector 107. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The young boy’s parents were not at home when the incident occurred.

Adding to the grim day, four workers sustained injuries when the shuttering of an under-construction building in Sector 36 collapsed. Sanjeet, Mohammad Siraj, and Subroto Haldhar were buried under the debris, while Budhdev was trapped on top of the building. Firefighters were called in to rescue Budhdev, and all four workers were taken to a hospital, with one reportedly in critical condition.

These incidents serve as a stark reminder of the importance of safety measures and the need to address mental health concerns. The rescue of the man from the high-rise building is a testament to the human spirit, but the tragedies highlight the vulnerabilities faced by individuals in these situations. Authorities are conducting investigations into each incident to determine the exact circumstances that led to the falls.
