Hertz Global Holdings, Inc., a leading global car rental company, has announced the appointment of Lauren Fritts as Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, effective September 30. Fritts will report directly to CEO Gil West and lead Hertz’s global communications strategy, focusing on strengthening the company’s brand narrative, enhancing internal and external communications, driving impactful messaging, and managing corporate reputation.

“Lauren will be an invaluable addition to our leadership team,” said Gil West, CEO of Hertz. “Her integrated approach to communications will play a critical role in engaging our 27,000 global employees and sharing our evolving brand story with key stakeholders. As we continue to elevate our operations and customer experience, I look forward to Lauren’s leadership in helping us build a stronger business and reinvigorate our brands.”

“I’m thrilled to join the Hertz team as we reimagine what it means to be a leader in the mobility industry,” said Lauren Fritts. “Hertz is an iconic brand with more than a century of leadership, and we have an incredible opportunity to connect with both new and existing customers through innovative communications. I look forward to continuing the legacy of trust that Hertz has built while introducing new generations to our world-class brands.”

Prior to her role at WeWork, Fritts held the position of Digital and Deputy Communications Director for Governor Chris Christie, managing the communications strategy during his administration and his 2016 presidential campaign. She began her career in cable news as a producer, gaining extensive experience in strategic communications, media relations, and broadcast journalism.
