Hezbollah, a Lebanon-based militant group supported by Iran, has launched a barrage of rockets at an Israeli army headquarters in northern Israel. The attack, which reportedly involved dozens of Katyusha rockets, targeted the 3rd Infantry of the 91st Division at Ein Zeitim Base.
Hezbollah has confirmed that the rocket strike was in retaliation to Israeli airstrikes on three locations in southern Lebanon: Srifa, Rab Tlatin, and Odaisseh. The Israeli military has confirmed that at least 35 rockets were fired from Lebanon, with some of them intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system.
The exchange of attacks between Israel and Hezbollah has heightened tensions in the region, which is already grappling with the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza. Fears are growing that the escalating violence could lead to a wider conflict involving other Middle Eastern countries.
