Hillsborough Rallies for Walk-Off Win over Hunterdon Central

Hillsborough entered the bottom of the seventh inning trailing 9-7, but the team refused to give up. Senior outfielder Peter Cipparulo led off the inning with a single, and he was followed by a double from Max Romanok. After a sacrifice fly brought in Cipparulo, Romanok scored the tying run on a single by Ryan Branigan.

With runners on first and second and two outs, Cipparulo came up to the plate once again. He worked the count to 3-2 before lacing a single into left field, scoring Romanok and giving Hillsborough the dramatic victory.

The win improves Hillsborough’s record to 5-7 on the season. Hunterdon Central falls to 6-6.
