Hilton Announces New Hotel in Frankfurt, Expanding its German Portfolio

Hilton has announced a major expansion of its German portfolio with the signing of a management agreement for the 225-room Hilton Frankfurt Gravenbruch. Set to open its doors in October 2024, the property will undergo a complete transformation, joining Hilton’s flagship portfolio and marking the company’s ninth hotel in Frankfurt.

Nestled in a serene location just 15 minutes from Frankfurt’s city center, main train station, and international airport, the hotel offers a perfect balance of accessibility and tranquility. Guests can enjoy the peace of the hotel’s 10-hectare grounds, complete with beautifully landscaped gardens and a serene lake.

The hotel boasts a rich history, dating back over 400 years. Originally a manor house built in 1586, the property evolved over the centuries to include a hunting lodge, transforming into a favored getaway for Frankfurt’s elite in the late 19th century. Through numerous transformations, the hotel became a luxurious venue that has welcomed numerous international celebrities and Heads of State.

The newly renovated hotel will feature a range of amenities catering to both business and leisure travelers. The property offers 18 meeting rooms, including two grand ballrooms and an executive lounge, making it ideal for hosting conferences and events. Leisure amenities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, multiple saunas, seven treatment rooms, a gym, two tennis courts, and a children’s play area. Guests can also unwind while enjoying scenic views of the lake or park and savor meals at one of the hotel’s four distinct dining venues.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development EMEA, Hilton, highlighted the significance of Germany as a key strategic market for Hilton. “With more than 60 properties either trading or under development, Germany continues to be a key strategic market for Hilton,” he said. “We’re excited to be further expanding our portfolio in Frankfurt working alongside Allsco Gravenbruch Hotelbetriebsgesellschaft mbH.”

Moris Mashali, managing director, Allsco Gravenbruch Hotelbetriebsgesellschaft mbH, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Hilton. “We are delighted to once again be working alongside Hilton to write the next chapter in the history of this unique historic property,” he stated. “This will include making further progress on our environmental commitments and making our hotel even more accessible for guests.”

The Hilton Frankfurt Gravenbruch is set to become a popular destination for travelers seeking a luxurious escape in Frankfurt, combining historic charm with modern amenities and unparalleled service. It will join the company’s growing presence in Frankfurt, which currently includes Hilton Frankfurt City Centre, Hilton Frankfurt Airport, DoubleTree by Hilton Frankfurt Niederrad, Hampton by Hilton Frankfurt City Centre East, Hampton by Hilton Frankfurt City Centre Messe, Hampton by Hilton Frankfurt Airport, Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt City Centre, and Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport.
