To achieve this, the state has devised a comprehensive six-pronged strategy, focusing on transitioning to sustainable energy sources. This includes prioritizing renewable energy, such as hydro, solar, and wind power, to replace the current reliance on thermal power. Himachal Pradesh is aiming to establish a massive 2,000 MW solar power generation capacity within the next four to five years.
