Himachal Pradesh to Host ‘Dehra Utsav’ to Boost Tourism and Showcase Cultural Heritage

Himachal Pradesh is preparing to showcase its vibrant cultural heritage through a grand festival, ‘Dehra Utsav,’ designed to attract tourists and boost the region’s tourism industry. The festival, announced by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, is scheduled to take place by the end of 2024.

The ‘Dehra Utsav’ aims to highlight the unique traditions, customs, and art forms of the region, providing visitors with an immersive experience of local culture. This festival will be a significant event for showcasing the state’s rich heritage and promoting tourism in Himachal Pradesh.

During his visit to the Dehra Assembly Constituency on August 16, Chief Minister Sukhu evaluated potential sites for new government offices and development projects. He instructed the district administration to identify suitable land for constructing a new office for the Superintendent of Police, along with other essential facilities in Dehra. The Chief Minister’s Office released a statement outlining these plans.

In addition to site evaluations, Sukhu conducted a comprehensive review of the progress on several ongoing construction projects in Dehra. These projects include a fire station, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office, a hospital, a sericulture office, and Government Senior Secondary Schools. His visit was part of a larger initiative to ensure the timely completion of these projects and improve infrastructure in the region.

During his visit, Chief Minister Sukhu also interacted with students at local schools, encouraging them to stay informed about current state developments and events. He emphasized the importance of educating the youth on issues impacting their community and fostering a sense of civic awareness. This interaction highlighted the importance of engaging the younger generation in the progress and development of their state.
