Roope Hintz and Adam Henrique, two key forwards for the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers respectively, are expected to participate in warm-ups before Game 2 of the Western Conference final on Saturday. Both players have been dealing with injuries, but are hopeful to return to action in the pivotal game.
Hintz has not played since suffering a lower-body injury in Game 4 of the Stars’ second-round series against the Colorado Avalanche. He is a key part of the Stars’ top line and his return would be a boost to their offense. Henrique has been dealing with a suspected ankle injury since Game 5 of the Oilers’ first-round matchup with the Los Angeles Kings. He tried to play in Game 2 of Edmonton’s second-round series against the Vancouver Canucks, but has been sidelined ever since. He is a valuable contributor to the Oilers’ offense and his return would be a welcome addition.
The Stars and Oilers are tied 1-1 in the Western Conference final. Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday night in Edmonton.
