This revenue represents 73.9% of the city’s annual revenue goal.
To further attract visitors, particularly international tourists, Ho Chi Minh City has implemented various initiatives to enhance its tourism offerings. The city has introduced unique tourism experiences across Thu Duc City and various districts, focusing on diverse themes such as waterway, cultural, historical, agricultural, ecological, night-time, and MICE tourism. The second river festival, held in May, successfully highlighted the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage, further solidifying its image as a vibrant riverside urban center. Additionally, the annual Ao Dai Festival in March showcased the city’s unique culture and tourism potential to both domestic and international audiences.
Looking ahead, Ho Chi Minh City has set ambitious goals for 2024, aiming to welcome six million international visitors and 38 million domestic tourists, with a targeted total revenue of VND190 trillion. These ambitious targets highlight the city’s commitment to fostering continued growth in the tourism sector, positioning itself as a leading destination in Southeast Asia.
