Hoda Kotb Tapes Injured Toe with Scotch Tape After Subway Incident

During a recent segment on the ‘TODAY With Hoda and Jenna’ show, Hoda Kotb revealed that she had jammed her toe while running into a subway car in New York City. Despite the pain, she continued on, neglecting to treat the injury. Later, she attempted to tape her toe but all she could find was Scotch tape. Despite warnings from her co-host Jenna Bush Hager, she applied the tape to her toe solo.

Jenna expressed shock, reminding Hoda that experts recommend using athletic tape or buddy taping for toe injuries. However, Hoda defended her choice, explaining that she couldn’t find any other tape in her home.

The Cleveland Clinic recommends using athletic tape for taping injured toes. The RICE method (rest, ice, compression, and elevation) is also recommended for treating stubbed toes. Additionally, over-the-counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can be taken for pain relief.

If you believe you may have broken your toe, it is important to seek medical attention before attempting to tape it.
