A partially completed film, centered around the theory of O.J. Simpson’s innocence, is seeking a lead actor following Owen Wilson’s rejection of the role.
British director Joshua Newton has been working on the “satirical thriller” since 2015, and has already shot approximately 30 minutes of footage, including scenes with actress Charlotte Kirk as Nicole Brown Simpson and actor Boris Kodjoe as O.J. Simpson.
The film’s plot revolves around real-life attorney Douglas McCann, who delved into conspiracy theories during Simpson’s 1995 trial. Newton faced challenges in casting the lead role, with Wilson initially expressing interest but later backing out due to his opposition to the film’s premise.
